Fabrik 3.4 not working with Joomla 3.4.8

Hello guys,

I have some issues with the latest fabrik form running on the latest Joomla version, those problems are related to group layouts and form validation "notempty" that spins without validating. (Please see: dapoint.(eu)/es/presupuesto-social-media)

While debugging it, i have not found any JS errors. I use alaska joomla theme, and i tryied to change the template to Beez3 and Protostar (Beez3 -> Not working | Protostar -> Displays correct "2columns" group layout but validating "noempty" still dosen't work, it keeps spinning on sending the form.)

I have another site running joomla 3.4.6 with fabrik 3.3.4 and everithing works ok. (Please see: dimasis-truck.(es)/contactenos).

I have tryied to disable ajax, installed jquery easy, setted bootstrap layout, used the module, the component simply doesn't work. The form displays just 1 column despite group layout setted to 2.

Inspecting the form element i saw that span6 class is missing, i don't know if thats because it may be the template or Joomla itself.



What i m i missing?

Latest Fabrik is 3.4.2

If it's ok with Protostar then it is an issue with your Joomla template (if span6 is missing you must add it or if it's a Bootstrap3 template see https://github.com/Fabrik/bootstrap3-jlayouts)

Spinning validiation: check the network response in a browser dev tool, there may be an error message

I have followed the instructions in order to upload those files into: httpdocs/templates/alaska/html/layouts/com_fabrik but it's still doesn't work.
Can u please confirm where i need to upload those files?
Regarding spinning validation, i tryied debugg it with the chrome network console but i didn't saw any error.

There is some bootstrap plugin for Joomla 3? as t3 framework? how can i make it work? I just buyed this template and i don't want to use another form builder cause i'm using fabrik on all my joomla sites from 3 years ago and i know it rocks...
I need two colums layout on some custom fabrik forms.

On protostar it's working, please see attached img.
I just downgraded the fabrik to 3.3.2 and the spinning problem is solved!

the code's been updated in github to fix the column layouts in bootstrap3 templates.
Note you are going to need to update your Joomla site with both:
the joomla3 branch here https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/

AND

add the jLayout overrides here:
https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/

(read the help text on the page on how/where to copy those layout overrides)

Thanks for your quick reply, i did all Rob's updates and still no result see firefox photo.
I think my template dosen't use bootstrap3, but with the Rob's fix, all should be OK, as the https://github.com/Fabrik/bootstrap3-jlayouts are overwritting template layout.
Rob, can u please confirm the route httpdocs/templates/alaska/html/layouts/com_fabrik is ok?

In Beez3 Joomla template it also dosen't work.
I saw something weird in the form configuration -> Compelements -> Do -> Email -> Both (See attached foto)
If i fill those two fields and i send the form, the form is sent but the spinning problem persists, and, if i let send the message with thosse two empty fields, i have the same problem, i think the validation dosen't work either.
Testing the Protostar joomla template here: http://www.dapoint.eu/es/test/form/1 -> the same form is working, does validation and group columns are OK.
Testing the Breeze3 joomla template here: http://www.dapoint.eu/es/test2 -> the form is working, does validation but Group columns are NOT OK
Testing Alaska Joomla template here: http://www.dapoint.eu/es/test3 -> the form is working, does validation but Group columns are NOT OK
Testing the fabrik form module on all the templates -> The form doesen't work, it keeps spinning when the message is sent. The module test url is: http://www.dapoint.eu/es/presupuesto-social-media

Sure, it's no bootstrap template (see prerequisits).
I can't replicate your validation issue. the spinners are spinning and then closing in all my browsers.

You should really go back to a clean installation. No idea what will happen if you are overriding all Joomla JS, maybe this is the reason for your array.jpg

I checked my Alaska Joomla template features and i think that bootstrap3 is included, see: http://themeforest.net/item/alaska-responsive-multipurpose-hosting-template/13079509 and please see the attached image.
Is there any solution form make fabrik form work? Installing some aditional files would be not a problem for me.
The spinning issue appears if i use the fabrik form module with the ajaxfy ON, if i disable it i see no error message when the form is sumbitted but, the form sends email if the fields are not empty.
The "Array" text found in my form configuration settings i think it's caused by the overwriting those detalled here: https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/

The template files are ok now, multi column groups are displaying correctly with purity_iii.

IF your template is using Bootstrap3 you can add the files from https://github.com/Fabrik/Fabrik-Joomla-alt-layouts
Copy the content of the bootstrap3 folder to /templates/your-template/html/layouts/com_fabrik

That's a good question IF!!??
I just sent an email to Alaska Joomla template support, as they anounced in the product page (http://themeforest.net/item/alaska-responsive-multipurpose-hosting-template/13079509), the template is bootstrap3 compatible, i will ask for a refund cause it's useless making this website without fabrik form.
I need to build some complex dinamic forms with some validation fields, pull out data from DB etc...
Resuming, if they can't fix it i'll ask for a refund and loose two weeks of work.

Did you try with updating Fabrik from GitHub http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/update-from-github/

and adding the https://github.com/Fabrik/Fabrik-Joomla-alt-layouts files to your template?
(You have to do both).

A workaround may be to use Protostar on Fabrik sites and your other template for the rest.

I'm sure there should be a route problem, in order to overwritte or add aditional classes tothe fabrik component.

It's working with the purity_iii template (which is Fabrik's reference for Bootstrap3).

So if you have updated correctly the template override AND your Fabrik version with the latest code of the GitHub branches ...
what is not working?

Looking on themeforest in order to find another joomla template that could work with fabrik, adding a filter "bootstrap3" in the search filter, the search results were reduced to 110 templates avaible from +700.
So i think that maybe fabrik needs an update, i mean some kind of patch to overwrite the template settings.
