Table/List/Element

I have two lists pointing at the same underlying table. I have worked out that pre-filters allow me to have different record sets in each list. Is there any way I can do the same thing for the elements?

Both lists have their own elements, they may be linked, but you can unlink if needed.
You can display, unpublish, delete, modify every element.

BTW: you can define pre-filters or elements to show in list view in the menu settings, so you don't necessarily need two lists, maybe you can use two menu items.
