pre fill form element dbjoin rendred as multiselect using url

I don't remember whether it is possible to pre select options inside of a muliselect elements (dbjoin) using url parameters?

Yes, but you have to use the key name we use for the joined table, which is your element name with _id appended. So for instance, I have a checkbox join called 'fab_junk___many_states', which joins to my us_states table, for which I can pre-select multiple checkboxes using &fab_junk___many_states_id[]=X, where X is the PK val of the us_states table rows I want.
