Dear all,

How can i do a search module to appear on the home page , to search in fabrik lists like the search embedded with lists ??

Can Someone help me please ?

No reply please ?? can't someone help me on this ? even i need to be able searching by some criteria : Min Price & Max Price , Locations multiple selection ??

Have you tried installing the Search plugin for Fabrik. I believe this is supposed to add this functionality to the search bar that Joomla has already built into it.

i already installed search plugin for fabrik and activated but i need to search in fabrik by fields, for example : search for ; price min to max / property for ( buy - rent - sell ) dropdown / location : multiple check boxes , etc ...

You could try creating a "search form". Create a new form, with the same element names that you want to search on in the main form. Put a redirect on it, point the redirect URL to the list youw ant to search, and set the "Use as search data" to Yes.

i tried it but it doesnt give accurate search results it only redirects to the list which have all records ,, not just the keyword i search for ??

Sorry Vaguemind. I am a little confused on what you would like to do.

It seems to me that you need to have filters on the page that you would like to search. Is this to sit in a module position or in the content. Could this be done via the table plugin? I am not sure as I am not the biggest user of Fabrik.

The Community forums are just that - for members of the Fabrik community helping each other. Sometimes you'll get help, sometimes you won't. As I have explained in Skype, in response to your frequent messages, we (Fabrik staff) don't have the time to provide this kind of support in Community forums.

I know you are trying to subscribe, and that you have issues because you don't have PayPal access where you live. So I do try and find the time to answer posts you Skype me about, as you are obviously an enthusiastic Fabrik user. But for better or worse, we only accept PayPal. We used to allow for exceptions, paid via bank draft or other methods, but the administrative overhead for that was so high, that just processing a payment used up more of our time than the subscription fee covers.

Is there any way you can find a friend or relative in a country that does have PayPal to help out?

Anyway, I'll attempt to help on this one, if can you post shots of:

1) The settings for the redirect plugin on your search form.

2) The element list for the list/form you want to search on. In other words, the list of elements in the Elements screen on the backend, filtered by the form for that list.

Thanks alot

OK, first issue, where is {contract_form} supposed to come from in your redirect plugin? That needs to be a URL to the list you want to search.

Second issue ... in order for a 'use as search' redirect to work, the elements you want to search on need to have the same names on the search form as the corresponding elements on the target list.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
