List view filtering and the cascadingdropdown element, problem/bug?

Hi there

I need to use a filter in list view. Two of the elements, one Database join Element, and a Cascading DropDown Element connected to the former, are the elements I need to filter on.

Problem is that, while the Database join Element is populated with data, the Cascading DropDown Element is not.

The result that I was expecting, was that the Cascading DropDown Element would be populated with relevant data, after a field in the Database join Element is selected.

Are my expectations wrong, or is this a bug? If the former why?

hello, i used to have the same problem but now i think i'ved found the reason, at least is working for me :

Go to Elements, select the CCD element, list view filters, filters and apply this settings :

filter type : dropdown
Exact match . Yes
Size : what you need to show your data
Access level : what you need , may start with public
full word match : No
Mandatory : NO
Data Filter : ALL
Order by : Label
Include in advanced search : YES
Filter Class : what you need ( may start with input-medium)
Class : Visible
