Col_update plugin disable button after klick

hello

I'm using the col_update plugin in one list to update a value. If the user clicks this button a yes/no element (I mean its value) is set to yes/1.
Is there a possibility to disable this button once the user has clicked it once, so he can't click it anymore?

You could probably figure out a way to do it in Javascript, but it wouldn't be entirely trivial. And even if you disable the individual row button, they could still select the checkbox and use the 'all selected rows' button at the top.
