Chrome's autocomplete issue

There is an issue with Chrome, which does not respect the auto-complete set to off.
I have a user form with name, username, email, password and fields are set to auto-complete = off.
The form allows the administrator to create new users in the backend.
However Chrome does not respect the autocomplete=off and the result is that it injects the admin's username inside the email field, which is very ugly and creates confusion.
Recent versions of Chrome behave like this by design, since Chrome developers believe that users should have the last word if they want their browser to autocomplete/store credentials.

Anyone has came across this ? Any ideas on how to bypass this?

I think you can bypass it with Crome settings but I assume this is not what you are looking for?

Yes, it is not Troester.
Hope google will re-consider / improve its approach on this matter, since it might solve the users' desire to have control over when their browser will store credentials, but it adds this kinds of issues in many web apps.
