Try to download again, there's something wrong with your file (it must have 22.6 MB)

Thank you very much for this quick answer
I was loading using the link (//github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/zipball/joomla3) included in the "Update from GitHub" page
And always get the same file !

But direct download in GitHub (//github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/archive/joomla3.zip) works fine

Strange, I just tried the zipball link and got a correct file.
But glad to here you got it the other way.

I downloaded both - and contents were identical except that the root path name was slightly different.

The zip file has a consistent fabrik-joomla3 root and the tarball has a unique root directory for each commit. Take your pick.

The Fabrik-fabrik-3.0.8-1330-gea99078.zip totally hosed my project.

Any added records in a repeat group where not being saved correctly - the only field updated in the newly created record (other than the id and timestamp) was the linked field. And upon re-edit the other repeat groups in the form were not showing the correct data either (even though it was correct in the actual table).

After 3 days of scratching my head - thinking it was something I did - after reading this thread, I reverted back to the previous zip from July 26th and all is well again.

There should be a new rule - no updates on Friday.:p As this is the 2nd wasted weekend in so many months that I struggled with an end-of-week (Friday) 'update' from Github that ended up being the cause of my problem.

This is a beta. Whilst Rob and Hugh do try to ensure that changes and fixes are not going to break it, the quantity of changes that are made means that it will be less stable than a full release - and zip updates do not have the same level of quality assurance as a full release.

If you find that beta zip updates are insufficiently stable for your needs, please switch back to Fabrik 3.0 on Joomla 2.5 which is a full release and more stable.

And if things go wrong for you here you could probably always rely on getting a job as Ambassador for Libya.:D

I'm not at all sure what that comment means, or at least any conclusion I can come from it is that its both insulting to Paul and to ourselves
Can you please refrain from in-appropriate comments.

Hello,
It's so easy to import from GitHub (after a little effort) that i tried to install directly on a new test instance.
Everythings fine but i miss language files and menus, messages and labels appear as "COM_FABRIK_SUBMENU_LISTS"...
Tried to import (en-GB.com_fabrik.ini) and (en-GB.com_fabrik.sys.ini) in "language" directory but nothing changed.

Could someone help ?
Many thanks in advance

PS - Hello Rob, Fabrik is GREAT so the work is HUGE.
Please keep going on

Which language are you using?
Joomla/Fabrik are using the language setting of your site.
It seems your language is existing in Fabrik but only partly translated.
Quick workaround: set your backend profile to English
Other one: rename your language folder (e.g administrator/components/com_fabrik/language/de-DE to ...xde-xDE) so Fabrik will fall back to English

Additionally you can contribute translations in transifex
http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/translations/

Sorry,
I just copied to root languages directory :-{
And now understand that languages must be in each component, module or plugin to ensure granularity.
I will try to help for french translation.
Thanks again.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
