Preload options into Dropdown element

Hello there,
I am looking for a way to preload options to the dropdown element in a form.
It is a Nationality dropdown element, i want to preload the list of countries to this element (may be from an xml file) instead of writing it in directly in the element options.
Any help is very much appriciated.

Just a friendly bump.
Didn't yet figure out how to accomplish that.

Create a fabrik list, fill in your countries (you can import CSV) and use a databasejoin element pointing to this list instead of the dropdown.
