latest git update cause json error in popups

Trying to add a front end lookup list record, I get the following error.

Firfox error
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected non-whitespace character after JSON data

Chrome error

SyntaxError: Unexpected token <​

Problem is similar to the calendar popup problem I just reported.

Ah we altered form save handling last night, (to allow for the delay whilst files are automatically uploaded) seems we've not quiet got it right. I tested though with the latest code and I can save a calendar form and a normal ajax form
