is there a clever way to have a toggled filter list appear by default the the list is loaded?

i think the filters are not shown by default. they blink on, but then off and the use has to click 'filters' to show them again. my use-case is that filters must be typed to show anything (so they will always need to be shown) but then after filtering, i woud like them to toggle off so you can see results. and they're still there if needed. but first load = show, press 'go' or on change to run the filters, then they are hidden.

I suspect that would need to be an additional option - "Start hidden: yes/no". They are hidden in our list JS, so even if you wrote some custom JS, you'd have to hang in on en event that runs after we've hidden them, so they'd show, then hide, then show again.
