Group by not working as expected

I'm missing something here.

The page is http://www.bcsbc.com/Academics/program-start-dates

I want the entries grouped by program and ordered by date. That is what I believe I have set for the list. Group by Program(a), order by date (A)

However, it appears to show the list as grouped by date. I am calling the list with

{fabrik view=list id=7 layout=default}

If I click on the group by, nothing happens.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.

I can't duplicate this, my grouping and rodering behaves as expected.

Can you post a screenshot of your settings ... actually two, one with the Data tab showing, one with the Group By showing.

cheesegrits - I see the problem.. In order to group, you need to click on the little green icon in the group by button. The underlined "Group By" does not work. Also, I can't seem to find a way to remove the "group by" button. I might take it out..

I did set the program element to "order By = Yes". When I did that , the grouping worked. I'm not sure if that was a coincidence or not.

Normally you won't see this text (only the button), it's your Joomla template displaying it. But you are right: the link should have the same functionality as the button.

to remove the "group by" button

set the access in list's group by settings to nobody etc.
