empty data message in join

is there a way to get the 'empty data message' onto a form in the joined group? i can't find anything on this.

  ...
  <div class="fabrikNotice alert">No data</div> <-- here.

In what context do you need to get it? Is it with javascript/php etc? Perhaps a little more context on what it is you need to do will help me understand

i thought it would be a simple answer because there's a field called 'empty data message' but it doesn't do what i expected.

there's a 1:N join. on the form the parent is filled in; there are no children yet in the child group. there's an add button and a message: "No Data". i would like a different msg than "No Data."

is there a fabrik field to change this or do i have to change it in a template or somewhere else?

Thanks for that explanation - makes more sense now.
You can add a Joomla language override : extensions->language manager->overrides
Enter 'COM_FABRIK_NO_REPEAT_GROUP_DATA' for your contstant and then the text you wish to show rather than "no data" in the 'text' textarea
