date/time format in details view

where's the best place to control date/time formatting in details view? there are clear options for list and form formatting when editing the element but not details.

list view is showing:
2013-07-23 14:00:00
(good) (i checked the db. this is how it's stored).

details view is showin:
2013-07-23 14:00:00 14:00

it uses the same formatting as the form view.

what was happening was that the form's format was set to
%Y-%m-%d %H:%M
but the 'Show time selector' option is set to yes (with a format). this seems to be adding the time twice to the UI (details in this case).

not sure if there's an easy around it - i understand there's a separate *input* for the time - but that concat seems a bit counter-intuitive.

perhaps a couple of extra notes in the tool-tips/titles.

just confirmed something else - that extra concatenation does not happen in list view (list > view data).
