Cannot change link to a table in the database

Hi all!

I made a copy of an existing list and tried to link the copy to another table of the same database. But I'm not allowed to change the link to the table. New configuration only works if I create an new list. But that's too complicated. I'd like to use the same configuration for a list many times and change only the link to the table.

List copies have the same underlying database table.
But you can use "content types":
Go to the form listing, on your form click on the "Content type" arrow and then "Export".
This will create a "content type" containing all groups and elements of this form.

Create a new list, set label and table name as you like, "Save".
In the content type dialog select the content type, "Save&Close"
Now your new list has automatically all groups and elements.

It worked well, but the solution is too poor for me, because I cannot use other than the site-database-connection.
And the configuration of groups and elements is not copied like using a template, but is always default.

So I take the longer, but regular way: create a new list, select the database-connection und the table and configure the options ...
