Turn off bulk delete in lists?

Hi. Newbie question 1: Is it possible to configure a list so that it does not show the checkboxes for selecting multiple list items and the delete button (or other bulk action buttons) for a list?

"Hide checkbox" in List/Links settings will hide the checkboxes (via CSS).
It makes sense to additionally hide the column header icons also.

Thanks. Is hiding the column header icons something configurable, or do I need to modify a template to do that?

You can add custom CSS to the list (e.g. bootstrap) template
