The List ?Group By? feature is a great tool, thank you.
However I would like to make a request that an additional multiselect dropdown element be added to the ?Group By? tab in the List configuration.
This multiselect list would contain the same list of elements that now shows in the 'Group By' dropdown selector in the navigation bar above the list - but provide the developer the ability to include only selected elements in that ?Group By? dropdown list.
Most of the time it only makes sense to be able to group certain elements. For example, any unique values should not be included in the ?Group By? list ? and it can result in a strange and confusing screen display if any of those elements are selected by the user for subgrouping .
Since there is no way for Fabrik to know which elements are unique in any particular list, this new multiselect element in the configuration form would allow the developer to include only the ?Group By? elements that are appropriate for grouping in that list.
No biggie - just a relatively simple 'feature request' that I think would improve the product - and assume many would agree.
