• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Modals in Calendar Visualizations

I was wondering if there is a way to go to the edit/detail view on a new page rather than a modal popup when editing or adding. The modal has got a problem (javascript error) with another plugin I'm already using, plus I think my users would prefer just to click on the entry, go to another page, and do their editing there rather than getting the modal where they have to choose edit or view. Plus ultimately they are going to need the real estate.

As-is, no, but it's an option I've been thinking of adding. I have a list of things I want to do to the viz, and am trying to find a few days I can devote to giving it some much needed love.

You'll get a new tab if you are adding a custom link (something like
index.php?option=com_fabrik&Itemid=509&view=form&formid=18&rowid={rowid} (replace 18 with your formid)

But I think it doesn't make much sense because then every click on an event is opening a new browser tab.

BTW: This is J!2.5/Fabrik3.0 forum...

Oh, right, I hadn't noticed, and was assuming FullCalendar. And yes, using a custom link would work.

Yes. Assuming you are using the FullCalendar viz, not the (deprecated) Calendar one, Troester's suggestion of using the custom link should work.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
