Fabrik CSV file import error

I am trying to import a csv file for a list in Fabrik on a Joomla 2.5 website. I have double checked the DB and User passwords in the Joomla Admin and the Cpanel. When I import the elements and the list are created but there is no data in the list.
The error message that I receive is
500 - An error has occurred.
Could not connect to MySQL.
