Databasejon add frontend record with custom link

Hi,
I have an idea, but I'm not sure if I can implement it with the expected function. Database join has the add frontend function, but when I click to add, it obviously opens the form for me to add a new record, but I would need the form to open automatically filling in a field. I get this in lists with the list custom link plugin, but I'm wondering if there is a way to customize the link to add the databasejoin record.

You can try to override
plugins\fabrik_element\databasejoin\layouts\fabrik-element-databasejoin-form-front-end-select.php
and manipulate the addURL

but so, I think, that the change would affect all databasejoins of the application and this would be a problem...maybe

You should be able to override layout for just one form. Check:

Thanks for the suggestion that could be the best solution, but trying it now, that we should be close to the release of the Fabrik 4 version, could be a risky choice.

No risk what so ever. For a layout override you create a copy of the layout file in your template folder. And you can remove or update it whenever you like.
