Return a concatenated label instead of raw

I have an element that is a database join and the label is a concatenation. This concat label shows up fine on that lists view. However the raw recorded information in the database table is an id not the concat label info.

I have another form that is a cascading dropdown which I want to return the concatenated label not the raw data. Is there anyway for me to get the concat label to show instead of the raw id?

I have solved this by instead of making the first database join a concat. I made another column in the original table that was a calc element plugin. This made the multiple columns into a single label, which I used for my first database join and that had the full label in it.

It would still be good to know if there is a way to do it as asked in my earlier post though.
