• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

hi
some of my users have different list seperator setting in their windows...some of them use "," but some other use ";" in their Windows>control panel.
is it possible to provide that setting to them to set it according individual windows setting?some of my user use win7 and some win10 or maybe use linux that these OS have different default setting and they don't have the expertise required to make the settings for list seperator and ambiguous to set that.
is it possible to set this option when they want to download csv of list?

It's currently only settable on a global and per-list basis.

Do you currently show the download options to the user?

Yup - I only asked because I suspected he wasn't already showing them ... and that even if we did provide a user-settable way of doing it in the options, if his users are not savvy enough to know to switch their separator in Excel (or whatever), then they won't be savvy enough to deal with the configurable options when downloading the CSV.

And there's no way we can somehow magically detect what version of what OS they are running and set the sepchar accordingly.

CSV stands for "Comma Separated Values" ... so the clue as to what sepchar you are getting as default is kind of in the name. :)

Also, I'm surprised there are still any spreadsheet apps left that can't automatically detect if the document is comma or tab delimited. That's kind of a 20th century problem. ;)

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
