{listname___elementname }command to retrieve element, cant make it work

I am trying to set the "list" - "data" - "front-end template" to the following value: {listform_1_com_fabrik_1___fornavn} but all it shows is " {listform_1_com_fabrik_1___fornavn}"
Looks like its not rendered as a value but a text.

Same goes for the email template. I am trying to use an article and enters a value here
{ac_salg___fornavn}, but it only shows the text {ac_salg___fornavn}

What am i missing/doing wrong ?

Check if the Fabrik content plugin is enabled (Extensions/PluginManager).

Not sure what you are trying to do in your first example.

Yes the plugin is enabled, so that cannot be the case. If i have a wrong reference to the element will it act like this then and only display it as text?

First example i was thinking to just show something like "Sorted on" {listform_1_com_fabrik_1___fornavn} as a header of the grouped group. But this is not important, i can drop this. The important is to make the email display value and not text.

arghhhh, the editor had put a html code before the reference, so thats why it was not working. Going into the code editor and insert the reference made it work.
